After 2 failed attempts (his friend, Isa, couldn't make it one week beacuse he had to go to the temple and Charlie had a Maths competition the next weekend) we finally made it to Tree-Tops for some fun High Ropes. In a beautiful setting - The Botanical Gardens - the kids climbs, walked and zip-lined their way through 4 or 5 courses. We finished off with lunch in a restaurant overlooking a beautiful lake. Highlight for the parents would have to have been the fact it was cool enough to wear jeans and a jumper.

My New BFFThere is always really cool wildlife around the place. This guy was on my window ledge. A lovely gecko with very vivid colours. He scared each class continuously throughout the day and he was scared by the kids. I finally managed to find a groundsman to help move him on. He picked him up with a piece of paper from the bin. He fell out and then jumped over the balcony falling with a thud on the ground below. The groundsman then picked him up and threw him into the creek. It would obviously have been better to allow him to be scared by the students.

Another week, another new sportThe outdoor life is certainly something the kids have embraced here. Fresh air (although it is hot fresh air) has been appreciated and we are getting in as much as we can before the rainy season starts.
So the kids have started getting some skateboard lessons. It hasn't taken long for them to get the hang of things. |
